Chocolate Hemp Seed Porridge

On cold mornings, there’s nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of porridge. And while we adore smoothies, sometimes you just want cozy, spoon-worthy goodness. Enter: our go-to Chocolate Hemp Seed Porridge.
It’s creamy, satisfying, nutrient-dense, and - let’s be honest - chocolate for breakfast always feels a little decadent. The best part? It’s grain-free, low glycemic, vegan, and ready in 10 minutes.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
1 cup organic full-fat coconut milk (from the can)
1⅓ tbsp monk fruit sweetener (we love Lakanto)
1⅓ tbsp raw cacao powder
½ tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup hemp seeds (~5 tbsp)
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut
2 tsp (or more) raw cacao nibs
½ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
Directions
Heat coconut milk over medium heat until just before it bubbles. Stir in monk fruit sweetener, cacao powder, and vanilla → whisk until smooth.
Reduce heat to low. Whisk in hemp seeds + chia. Stir often until thickened. (Add extra coconut milk or water if too thick.)
Transfer to bowls. Top with shredded coconut, cacao nibs, and strawberries (or cherries when in season).
Enjoy immediately, or refrigerate up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of coconut milk or try it chilled.
Variations
More flavor: Add ground cinnamon for warmth.
No coconut milk? Swap in unsweetened almond or hemp milk.
